OpenPasts doesn't track you and doesn't collect personal data through the site.
No cookies, analytics or ads
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. There are no social media widgets, embedded videos or third-party fonts. All pages and files are served from this domain.
The research log
The research log on the homepage saves your notes in your browser's local storage, on your own device. Nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else, and we can't see it. Clearing your browser data deletes the log, so use the export buttons to keep a copy. Exported files are saved wherever your browser saves downloads.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use that data to identify or profile visitors. Cloudflare's own privacy policy explains its handling of that data.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply. We don't add you to any list or share your message with anyone. We delete correspondence we no longer need.
Records about people
We don't publish, sell or search records about individuals. Pages from earlier owners of this domain were not kept.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
